Topic - Active Birth Workshop
Active Birth is a term that has been around for many years, first presented by Janet Balaskas in the 80's. What does Active Birth actually mean and how does it make birth 'better'?
Preparation for birth is different for all women with many common features of getting ready physically, mentally, emotionally and for some spiritually. Active Birth preparation, supported through prenatal yoga can provide women with many benefits in their individual journey's towards birth. Understanding how your body works through experiencing postures and breathwork can be positive and encouraging physically and mentally. Joining in with other pregnant women can be fun and uplifting in your belief in yourself. Another aspect of active birth preparation is feeling empowered to navigate yourself through a sometimes confusing and unknown world of health care choices and how to surround yourself with support for what you need.
During this practical workshop you can discover and practice the concepts of Active Birth and how they may be beneficial for you.
