Topic: Breastfeeding Myths, Legends & Old Wives Tales
A fun, funny and informative workshop for all breast feeding fans on all the miss, mrs and ms information around this motherly art.
Motherhood myths, legends and old wives tales are both the fountain of wisdom and the curse of all new mothers. There has now been generations of women in Australia that have been told that their mothers grandmothers couldn't breastfeed. The story is often that they tried but couldn't produce enough milk for their babies or that their babies "needed" formula. At the core of this is an undercurrent of misinformation that is ingrained within our breastfeeding culture.
This presentation will be a fun and informative workshop were we can explore as many of these myths and legends as we can fit in our 50 minutes so come and add your experiences and have a laugh and a whinge with me about how our art has been hijacked through the generations.
